Using the amazing app Dubbleapp the process involved Dubbling an initial image and posting to Instagram. Then using the second image to Dubble again and so on up to 100 images. This resulted in a huge collaborative project!!
I wanted to see how the image evolved and I was selective about the direction it took, sometimes Dubbling an image many times before it made it to the next edit, for example, leaving space for new images and consciously moving through themes of imagery based on dominant content. #Perpetualdubble 76 was proving a nightmare to Dubble until the new ‘Dubble with favourites’ update rocked up on 19 June.
I used Instagram treatments to enhance the Dubbles before publishing and just as I was wishing everyday that Instagram was a bit more sophisticated with the options to adjust an image, on the 5 June what do you know an update!!
It was set to either be amazing or it or potentially just dissolve into nothing, but hey that's just the nature of things! I think that the result shows that Dubbleapp is a very powerful bit of creative software to take such a huge layering process in it’s stride!!
